Almighty God, you call your Church to witness that in Christ we are reconciled to you. Help us so to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may turn to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

Almighty God, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you. O Almighty God, who alone canst order the unruly wills and affections of sinful men: Grant unto thy people that they may love the thing which thou commandest, and desire that which thou dost promise; that so, among the sundry and manifold changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

Matriculation at Nashotah House

Matriculation is the formal process of entering a post-secondary institution. At Nashotah House Theological Seminary where I am currently studying, Matriculation has traditionally taken place at Michaelmas. This year it was done in the context of a Solemn High Mass being a votive Mass of the Holy Angels in the week of Michaelmas.
